Canada and the USA shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 tie at BC Place on Thursday.  The two teams were playing in the first of a double header, with the second leg of the friendly taking place in San Jose on Sunday.  The record crowd (for a friendly in Canada) of 28,107 saw the USA take the lead in the first half through a goal from Alex Morgan, with Canada equalizing off a goal from Adriana Leon part way through the second half.

Both teams had other chances to score hitting the woodwork more than once.  Overall it was a fair result with the USA being the stronger team in the first half, and Canada were stronger in the second.
