In North Vancouver, Canadian Thanksgiving is not an early opportunity to beat our cousins south of the border to the best turkeys. It is the time of the year when the North Shore Girls Soccer Club (NSGSC from now on) plays host to more than 150 teams from BC and Yukon for it the annual soccer tournament.
This year the club hosted 160 teams (2700+ players), playing more than 300 games over three days. As in past years the weather gods looked kindly on the event, and it was a great success.
I had the privilege of shooting several games over the weekend, and heard nothing but praise for the tournament and its organization from visiting teams. As always there was a huge amount of talent on display, clearly the future is bright for Canadian Women’s soccer.
You can read a full run down on the NSGSC website, and below are a few of my favourite images from the weekend.
