Saturday afternoon saw the first home game of the season for the NSGSC WPSL team.  The team were hosting the Sounders Women, from Seattle.  A late change of the location saw the game being played at Windsor Secondary School instead of the newly completed Fen Burdett field.

An unexpectedly hot afternoon, and opponents who are at top of the division promised a tough game.

The home team went ahead early in the game, although the visitors drew level just before half-time. The Seattle team came out the more aggressive team in early play in the second half, and took the lead half way through.  The resilience of NSGSC saw the game level inside a couple of minutes.

A late goal, five minutes from time saw the visitors again take the lead, and this time they managed to hold on despite a concerted effort from the hosts.
